I believe design is for people and feel strongly in a design process that involves understanding your user. I'm looking to working with a team who shares this philosophy.
Before moving into UX design, I produced photo and video content for advertising campaigns. It was a fun job that spanned several ad agencies, my own production company and many clients. As a producer I learned how to work as part of a team, take charge and solve problems.
During this time I also co-founded MakeCreate, an online platform for sourcing vetted production crew. I helped develop this product from concept to launch. This venture is what sparked my career change into UX.
Before any career there was photography. I picked up my first camera around the age of 12 and have been hooked ever since. I studied these skills at a fancy NYC art school. I've never been super interested in the technical side of image making, it's always been more about the discovery of my subjects and the process of trying to understand them. These are my super rad kids. They are smart, funny and love tacos just as much as me. Having them has been a game changer. They have helped me to see the world and others with a greater amount of empathy and understanding. Everyday they challenge me and everyday I'm left wondering how before kids I wasn't running the world with all that extra free time.

With my passion for the visual arts, my interest in problem solving and my need to understand people it felt so natural to pursue a career change into UX. My goal is to create meaningful, human-centered design and hopefully one day create products that will have a positive impact on my children and our world.
